A little bit about myself

As a child I never quite knew what I wanted to be, I spent years and years exploring all the different options out there from a teacher to an architect to a barrister.

As a young girl I was always very creative and artistic, It just all seemed to be quite natural to me. My favourite subject in school was art and design, I would spend hours and hours at home after school with a box of pencils and a sketch pad my parents would buy for me. I would draw new designs of fabrics and clothing etc. (and still to this day I go through my phases of sketching new designs of my own when I get the chance) But I just never seen how I could get a dream job with interior and fabrics..

I spent over 6 years working in an interior store while in school and college where I gained so many skills and I could bring my interior flair to life. When I left school I decided to study Law, another passion of mine but deep down I knew as much as I would love to be a barrister, I knew the lifestyle was not for me, as much as I loved it. I finished my LLB Law Degree and after graduation I had to seriously sit down and decide what I was going to do. My husband Tadhg suggested that I open up an interiors in Wexford, why not jump in and do what I can do best, that he would help me do so, as he is a business owner in Wexford himself.

So after a lot of thought, I agreed he was right, so I opened up my own interior showroom. I am very proud to say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made, not only to own my own interiors store but to now join our two amazing businesses together to make what I think is one of Ireland's Best Blinds and Interiors Companies,

After a couple of years running our successful business and raising our family, I then decided to go back to college to study Interior Design. Thus bringing a new additional service to our locality with our interior design services here at Darcy Interiors.
